About Parking

No off-street parking is available. However, we'll provide you with one Newport Parking Pass which allows you to park on the street near the apartment -- or if you're lucky, right in front! (Without this pass, you'd have to move your car at 6 pm to an unrestricted parking area.)

If there is no parking directly in front of the house, there is an empty lot two houses down with no parking allowed in front of it. This is a convenient spot to pull over and unload packages, etc. before parking your car for the night.

NOTE: If you have more than one car, there is plenty of legal, no-pass-required street parking on Wellington Avenue (near Thames Street):

and also on Spring Street between Lee Ave and Baptist Street. The Spring Street parking is closer but more likely to be filled up:

As a former New Yorker, I don't find parking here as stressful as other people do; on the few occasions when I can't park on my block, I enjoy walking a few blocks and musing about how horrendous parking TRULY was on the upper East Side!
